Rahman Azari is an Assistant Professor and Acting Director of PhD Program College of Architecture at IIT. He holds a Master of Architecture from Sahand University of Technology in Iran and a PhD in Built Environment from the University of Washington, Seattle. He specializes in environmental modeling, building performance analysis (energy, LCA, daylighting), high-performance and net-zero energy buildings, and has participated in research projects funded by the National Science Foundation, the Construction Industry Institute, the General Services Administration, and Skanska USA Building. 

He will deliver a lecture on "Complexities in Quantification and Modeling of Embodied Energy and Carbon Emissions of Buildings"
