Dean Sabatino Lecture at the University of Toronto

Dean Michelangelo Sabatino will deliver "Beyond Wilderness: Modern Architectures in Canada," on  Thursday, Oct 5, 2017 at 6:30pm at the University of Toronto John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design.

During the twentieth century, a distinctly Canadian design attitude coalesced: a liberal, hybrid, pragmatic mindset intent less on the dogma of architectural language than on the formation of inclusive spaces and places. This lecture surveys the unfolding of architectural modernity in a country once defined by Voltaire as “a few acres of snow.”

This lecture is presented in partnership with the Department of Art and Canadian Studies Program at the University of Toronto.
